The Tokaj Harvest Days are one of the oldest vintage events in our country, since they have been celebrated since 1932, so this year the event is 90 years old. The organizers are waiting for those interested in the three-day holiday between September 30 and October 2 at Kossuth Square under the theme of "White wines, colorful culture".
For centuries, Tokaj’s wine has played a decisive role in the development of our national identity, so the purpose of the event is to nurture this cultural tradition and to present the diverse community values of the world heritage area in one of Hungary's most popular tourist regions, the city named after the Tokaj Aszú, Tokaj.
Harvest parade, premium winemakers, concert with the Bagossy Brothers Company
Last year, nearly 10,000 people visited the city during the three days, and the festival will certainly attract many visitors again this year, as the organizers provide exciting programs for all ages, not only on Kossuth Square, but also in its surroundings.
There will be a spectacular harvest parade, there will be a grape collection ceremony (with the mayors of the wine region ceremoniously adding up the harvest), traditionalist groups will present themselves. In the Wine Square, Tokaj mountain awaits guests with its excellent wines, the gastronomic promenade with delicious flavors, and the street of artisans and crafts with souvenirs. In the pedestrian street - in a fun, vintage atmosphere - outdoor music concerts, street musicians and street theater (children's) programs (folk games, crafts, photo theater) will entertain both young and old.
Special musical programs and concerts await fans of various styles from here and beyond our borders. Among others, the BAGOSSY BROTHERS COMPANY will perform (on September 30), the BUDAPEST BÁR (on October 1) with singer Vera Tóth, and the LÓCI JÁTSZIK and KISCSILLAG ensembles (on October 2).
Participation in the programs is free.
(The organizers reserve the right to change the program.)
Let's meet in Tokaj!
